Summer Snow

On the 4th of July we were able to enjoy one of Colorado's awesome sites, St. Mary's Glacier. We attempted to make this trek before but had to turn back due to afternoon storms with lightening. This year we timed it perfectly. Oh, what a day! The hike is a rocky one but simple enough that the kids didn't require any assistance. Once we arrived at the 'top' we took in the amazing beauty.

Eric and the kids (including Hank) took the opportunity to slide down the glacier on garbage bags that we brought along with us. That was quite the sight to see in itself. Isn't is strange to see people in shorts on a hill of snow in the summer?
