In April, the Jensen's added to their brood; literally. We got 15 more chickens as you can see in the pictures. They are most precious and adorable. The decision to get more chickens was based on the fact that we wanted more eggs. So, we researched the various breeds available and their dispositions coming up with a nice list to use when we went to the ranch supply store. Well, it turned out that we arrived a day late (their chicks typically arrive on Sunday and sell-out within 1 hour of their arrival) since the chicks arrived on Saturday instead. They did have some left, but they weren't sexed; meaning that they hadn't
separated the girls from the boys. So, learning that this was the last batch for the year, we threw out our list and bought all 15 chicks. We are hoping and praying that the odds will be in our favor and that we'll get at least 6 or 7 hens.

As you can see Josie and
JT take a very active role in raising them. They regularly pick them up and give them love. They all have been given names and they have claimed which ones are theirs. I'll try to remember to add pictures as they grow up. In about 6-9 months we should have full grown egg producing chickens.
