Foxton Academy - MACH III

Here is Josie killing time by adding numbers on the white board.  She has me keep track of the last number so she can continue where she left off.  When the board gets filled up it reminds me of the movie, "A Beautiful Mind."
Here is an example of a science experiment we did learning about xylem and phloem with celery.  You can see the celery that had the xylem removed is not flourishing.  The xylem and phloem are the veins and arteries responsible for transferring food and nutrients through the plant.  It's always fun to actually have the experiment work out.  Yay!
Well, you've read my woes in the past with home school co-ops.  This year, 2 other friends and I have banned together to just do FUN stuff with our kids.  We seem to be getting together at least 1 or 2 times per month.  We've named ourselves MACH III: Mountain Area Christian Homeschool with 3 families.  Clever, huh?  Here are a couple of pictures from our visit to the Nature and Science Museum in Denver.
